St. Albert, AB – Cash Cosgrove scored two goals and added an assist to guide the Calgary Flames (NWCAA) erased a three-goal deficit and to a 6-3 conquest over the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes at Troy Murray Arena on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Calgary Flames (NWCAA) was Easton Oglestone with two goals and James Anisimovicz and Max Mooney contributing with a goal each. Trystan James added two assists. Goaltender Colten Dunsby turned aside 28 shots for the Calgary Flames (NWCAA) in the win.

Cashing in for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes was Maxwell Suter, Landon Jackson and Tyler Guzzo each adding single tallies. Gavin Chytka added two assists. Goaltender Graham Wiggins made 48 saves in the loss for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes.

The Phoenix Jr. Coyotes jumped out to a 3-0 lead when Jackson scored his second of the tournament with 13:58 left in the second period but Oglestone responded for the Calgary Flames (NWCAA) with his first of the tournament to start the rally.

Mooney deposited his first of the tournament into an empty net with 1:15 left in the third period to seal the win for the Calgary Flames (NWCAA).

With the win, the Calgary Flames (NWCAA) improve to 1-2-0-0 while the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes fall to 1-2-0-0.
