St. Albert, AB – Remy Koch scored two goals and added an assist and George Matheos scored in round five of the shootout to give the Edge School U15 Prep a 6-5 win over the Red Deer Rebels at Mark Messier Arena on Friday.

The Edge School U15 Prep, coming off a victory over the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, clawed back from a three-goal deficit to force extra time.

Rounding out the scoring for the Edge School U15 Prep was Max Ranseth and Charlie Tobin and Keagan Grant with a goal each. Drew Wilkinson added three assists. Goaltender Kaidyn Thomas turned aside 19 shots for the Edge School U15 Prep in the win.

Striking for the Red Deer Rebels was Madden Daneault with a hat-trick and Cruz Nicolay and Noah Ulry each adding a goal. Nicolay added three assists, Daneault, Ulry and Jaxon Jaffray each added two assists. Goaltender Jace Lansing made 54 saves in the loss for the Red Deer Rebels.



With the win, the Edge School U15 Prep improve to 2-1-0-0 while the Red Deer Rebels fall to 2-0-0-1.
